Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management strategies of educational entrepreneurship based on Islamic values at a modern Islamic boarding school in Pekanbaru. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the managers of the boarding school's business units. The findings reveal that the educational entrepreneurship management strategy is grounded in the four essential characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): shiddiq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), fathanah (wisdom and competence), and tabligh (effective communication). The value of shiddiq is implemented through a cashless payment system integrated with students' identification cards, ensuring automatic financial transparency and accountability. The value of amanah is reflected in a consistent operational reporting system from business unit managers to the boarding school leadership. The value of fathanah is demonstrated through the gradual expansion of business units, which currently encompass agriculture, livestock farming, and modern retail sectors. Meanwhile, the value of tabligh is manifested through the active involvement of students in the operation of business units as part of experiential entrepreneurship education. The integration of Islamic values into the management of the boarding school's business units has proven to strengthen the institution's economic self-reliance while fostering students' religious character, sense of responsibility, and entrepreneurial mindset.
