Abstract

In the world of Islamic education, manners are a fundamental aspect that must be instilled from an early age. Adab reflects a person's morals and personality in everyday life, both in interacting with fellow humans and in carrying out Islamic values. However, in this modern era, the challenges in instilling manners are increasingly complex, especially in formal education environments such as ma'had. This research aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced in improving student etiquette at Ma'had Darul Azhar Wal Hikmah. Adab is an important aspect of education based on Islamic values, which aims to create a generation with noble morals. However, in practice, improving student etiquette faces various obstacles, both internal and external. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the main challenges come from family environmental factors, the influence of digital media, limited supervision and time as well as learning methods that are less effective in forming ethical character. Based on these findings, synergy is needed between the ma'had, parents and the surrounding environment in forming a conducive culture of ethical education. With structured and collaborative efforts, it is hoped that the development of student etiquette at Ma'had Darul Azhar Wal Hikmah can be more optimal.
