Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon in the current era of globalization where many people still find it difficult to speak in public to convey something. This research method uses a qualitative approach, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of other people's written or spoken words and observable behavior. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation, then the data obtained is analyzed. The research results show that muhadharah activities consist of several series, namely: MC, ummul Qur'an, reading of holy verses from the Koran, saritilawah, prayers, speeches, sermons, poetry and prayers. The inhibiting factors experienced by teachers in muhadharah activities for students' public speaking are: lack of student interest in participating in muhadharah activities, friends who are not yet supportive, some students are afraid of becoming muhadharah officers. The efforts made by the teacher in muhadharah activities to improve students' public speaking are, first: giving praise and motivation, second: approaching and training students, third: providing muhadharah notebooks, giving warnings and giving punishment, and fourth: looking for replacement students which is in charge of.
