This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in the topic of moral values through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model, specifically the Group Investigation type. The research was conducted as classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 21 sixth-grade students at Al Azhar Rantauprapat Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT). Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and action reflections. The results showed an improvement in students' learning outcomes. In the first cycle, 17 students (81%) achieved mastery, while 4 students (19%) did not. After revisions in the second cycle, the number of students achieving mastery increased to 19 (90%), while the number of students who did not achieve mastery decreased to 2 (10%). This improvement demonstrates the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning model, particularly the Group Investigation type, in fostering an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment. The Group Investigation Cooperative Learning model allows students to work in groups, develop investigative skills, and enhance their understanding of the material through group presentations. Thus, the implementation of this model can serve as an effective alternative to improving student learning outcomes, especially in the context of Islamic Education.
Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in the topic of moral values through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model, specifically the Group Investigation type. The research was conducted as classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and action reflections. The results showed an improvement in students' learning outcomes.
